Diomede Aglianico del Taburno DOCG - Ocone 1910

Diomede is one of the historical wines of Campania: 100% Aglianico vinified in large barrels with a short passage in barrique to give softness and elegance. A ruby red color with purple hues, the nose with hints of red fruits and flowers such as violets and roses are accompanied by notes of chocolate and vanilla. In the mouth the taste is soft, persistent, very elegant. Definitely a wine suitable for aging.

Located in Ponte, in the heart of the Taburno DOCG sub-area, one of the most suitable territories for viticulture in southern Italy, Ocone 1910 represents the expression of the Campania region, producing in fact only autochthonous vines with different processing techniques to satisfy every kind of palate. Attention to every detail, such as the reinterpretation of the Diomede label, is essential to achieve the highest levels of quality and professionalism.

  • Sensations Hints of red fruit accompanied by delicate floral notes of violets and roses, in the mouth the taste is enveloping and roasted hints stand out along with tobacco and chocolate. Good persistence in the finish that makes the wine complete and enjoyable.
  • Vinification Harvest of the grapes at the end of October, fermentation with maceration for twenty days. Maturation in second passage barriques for 4 months followed by maturation in large barrels for a further 8 months. Aged in bottle for one year.
