Falanghina IGT Beneventano, Levata is the classic interpretation of Falanghina according to Monserrato 1973. A wine where it is possible to clearly perceive all the warmth of the best estate exposures, while keeping freshness and fruit intact. A pure Falanghina, the grapes arrived at the winery are sent to the soft pressing stage and, after a light maceration, the must is transferred to stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. At the end of processing, the wine ages in steel tanks for about 8 months before being bottled in the spring following the harvest. Fairly deep straw yellow with greenish highlights, the nose reveals hints of ripe yellow fruit. Then balsamic and citrus notes. In the mouth it is characterized by a nice structure and a pleasant softness, all well balanced by a pleasant acidity, typical of the grape variety. The finish is pleasantly bitter. Good right from the aperitif, this Falanghina goes wonderfully with all seafood dishes. Difficult, if not impossible, to put it through its paces.
