    "Le Haut Betivard" Champagne Brut
  • Le Haut BŽtivard is a super interesting Champagne. It is made from a careful selection of pure Pinot Noir grapes from the village of Damery in the department of Marne. Here, soils rich in silt, sand and limestone allow the most capricious of Champagne vines to reach perfect maturity and produce wines rich in personality. For vinification, MG HEUCQ's oenologists use only oak tonneaux, adding complexity to an already very interesting raw material. After blending, the wine is bottled to begin the next stage of sparkling in the bottle. It takes about 36 months to reach the right complexity. A long wait that pays off from the first sip, when you discover an elegant Champagne with character. A perfect wine not only to accompany classic fish dinners. Thanks to its structure, in fact, this Champagne is able to easily hold its own with meat dishes or with cold cuts and cheeses. A Champagne designed to always be the centre of attention.

    A fine history of Champagne. In the sense of a geographical area. The story of MG HEUCQ is a beautiful story of a family, and of a great passion for its work and its territory. The long journey began with the grandparents of the current owners, Robert and Paulette. Thanks to the land they inherited, they began to work the vineyards with courage, investing all their savings to expand the boundaries of their business. Like so many small producers in Champagne, they relied on the cooperative to start selling their wine. In 1979, a new generation took over, represented by Franois and VŽronique, who inherited part of the farm, continuing the work started by their parents but above all guiding the conversion: from simple producers of grapes to be delivered to the cooperative, to "rŽcoltant-manipulant", i.e. producers of their own wine. This brings us to 2019, when it is Guillaume and MŽlody's turn to receive the 5 hectares of vineyards as a dowry and, with the typical passion of young people, to start their own journey, respecting what has been done so far but with the desire to innovate and give life to new projects. Starting with the creation of the new MG HEUCQ brand. But the surprises, we are sure, will not end there.
