Luciani's Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2016 derives, as per the Regulations, from the vinification of pure Sangiovese grapes. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand, carefully selecting only the best bunches, so as to bring only the best and ripest fruit to the cellar. Vinification is super traditional, and involves natural fermentation, with maceration of the skins for 15/20 days. This is followed by a period of six months in steel tanks and then a phase of maturation in Slavonian oak casks, for a minimum of 36 months but which can last even longer. Ruby red colour, tending to garnet, it is a wine that certainly does not fear aging. Its aromas are ample and ethereal, with hints of red berries and a pleasant, well-integrated toastiness that comes from its long rest in the cellar. In the mouth it is warm, dry, of medium structure and good body. With red meats, game and roasts it is the right bottle.
