Donatella was given Fattoria del Colle from her father Fausto Cinelli in 1998. An estate that has belonged to the family's ancestors since 1592. The rampant lion that appears on the label of this wine is the symbol of the lineage, and can be found at the entrances, on ceilings and some of the furniture at the villa. Leone Rosso, Orcia DOC, is a tribute to this long and fascinating history. A child of Sangiovese and Merlot, this red is characterized by its beautiful ruby colour, with violet hues and a nice brightness. The nose is fine. It combines vinous sensations, with scents of small red fruits and spicier notes due to the maturation in barrels. In the mouth, however, is harmonious and soft, medium-bodied and intense. The tannic and acidic structure, well balanced by the fruit, is the most relevant stylistic element of this wine.
