For more than a century, Pinot Noir has found a second home in the mountains of South Tyrol, where its elegant and refined character is beautifully expressed. The grapes come from the breezy vineyards of Renon and Leitago, at altitudes between 500 and 750 metres, where they ripen slowly while preserving freshness and aromatic intensity. In the glass it displays a bright ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of cherries, raspberries and ripe plums, accompanied by delicate hints of violet and subtle notes of liquorice and spice. On the palate it is fruity, velvety and harmonious, with a balanced structure and gentle tannins. The brief ageing of part of the wine in oak casks enhances its profile without compromising its natural finesse. A versatile and thoroughly enjoyable red wine, ideal with meat dishes, game birds and semi-mature cheeses.
