  • If Primitivo is considered the noblest of the Apulian vines, the generous Negroamaro is certainly not inferior to it. A grape rich in colour and sugar, it produces wines with good body and fresh fruit fragrances. Like this Tempio di Giano, an elegant pure Negroamaro proposed by the Vetrére winery. An immediate wine as a concept, the result of a vinification that respects the raw material, which provides only a 4-month refinement in steel, followed by another two months of aging in bottle. No superstructure, then. No compromises. In the glass one discovers a wine characterized by a beautiful ruby colour with violet reflections as proof of its freshness. On the nose the scents recall cherry and plum. The sensations are the same, pleasant, in the mouth as well, where, however, the fruit manages to perfectly balance the soft and ripe tannins. A wine like this can't give you any trouble. At the centre of the table it can easily accompany pasta dishes with sauce or meat dishes.

    The history of Vetrère is lost in time. Its origins are certainly very ancient, to the point that a map dating back to 700 already testifies to its presence. It belonged to the Troilo family then. Then, in 1903, the young Serafina Troilo married Michele Ammazzalorsa who, later on, left his properties to his nephew, Enrico Bruni, father of the present owners, Annamaria and Francesca. There are already five generations that have followed one another at the helm of the company, which produces typical Salento wines. It is located along the provincial road Monteiasi-Montemesola, at the 16th kilometre. We are in the province of Taranto. The headquarters of the winery is located within a beautiful structure dating back to the early 19th century, made entirely of tufa stone, typical of Salento. Tradition and modernity coexist perfectly here. In fact, the company is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has consciously chosen the path of clean energy. Already today, in fact, it is able to meet its energy needs in complete autonomy.
