We are in Apulia, in the region of Manduria. Old vineyards, aged between 15 and 40 years. Low production, high quality. It is here, from plots of land between 150 and 250 metres above sea level, that Masseria Tagaro harvests the Primitivo grapes for this Muso Rosso, Primitivo di Manduria DOC which, after fermentation, is racked into medium-toasted French oak barrels. Here it undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for at least 6 months. The result is a 100% Apulian wine, characterised by an intense red colour with garnet hues. The nose is intense and persistent, with pleasant spicy notes that give complexity to a wine that is otherwise characterized by a soft taste, with a long and wisely balanced tannin. An important wine, with its 14 degrees of alcohol it requires a strong flavour combination. Excellent with game, it is also perfect with meat dishes cooked in the oven or grilled.
