Locorotondo. Apulia. Itria Valley. It is here, in vineyards located between 300 and 450 metres above sea level, that Masseria Tagaro gives life to one of its wines. A very pleasant Apulian white wine that comes from a successful blend of three native grape varieties: Verdeca 65%, Bianco D'Alessano 30% and Fiano for the rest. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar to begin the vinification process. Destemming and immediate reduction of the temperature of the crushed grapes are essential to safeguard the finest part of the varietal aromas. Maceration of about 12 hours then follows and, after soft pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place, again at a controlled temperature. This is followed by a phase of refinement in contact with its fine lees for about 3 months and then rests for another 30/40 days in the bottle. Straw yellow with greenish reflections, it has a fresh and fruity bouquet. Elegant and persistent, it has a fresh and pleasant taste. Excellent with risotto, fish dishes and soft cheeses.
