Perno is one of the Barolo DOCG wines offered by the Sordo winery in Castiglione Falletto. A wine awarded by international critics, produced with grapes from a vineyard of exceptional value, set in one of the most valuable areas of the hamlet of Perno, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. As always, the work in the winery is accurate and includes a prolonged period of aging in large oak barrels. The concentration and vitality of this wine are evident from its first contact in the glass, where it has a beautiful intense ruby red color, with broad garnet reflections. On the nose it has a rich and complex range of aromas. From delicate hints of ripe fruit, to cocoa, boiserie, mint and sweet spices. A great Barolo that on the palate reveals an initial sensation of intense and pleasant warmth, almost sweet. Ripe and well-integrated tannins, it is an extraordinary wine with great structure, very balanced and rightly harmonious.
