  • Pinot Noir 100% This would be enough to drive, in the minds of many fans, the desire to own this fine Champagne. Because there is no vine more interesting and versatile than this one, capable of expressing itself at the highest levels when it is cultivated, as in this case, on soil with unique characteristics. The location is on the mountain of Reims, where most of the grapes destined to give life to many famous Champagnes come from. Manual harvesting, pressing of the whole bunch (stems included), alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel vats. This is followed by refinement in the bottle for at least 4 years. The result is a bubble characterized by a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it has fruity aromas, with citrus fruits in the foreground, white pulp fruit to give it strength, then dried fruit. On the palate, it is opulent yet very fresh. The aromas previously perceived are back with a long persistence.

    A beautiful and ancient story of families and wine. In Champagne, in Verzy, one of the most interesting villages of the Montagne de Reims, is Champagne Lepreux-Penet. The history of the winery has its origins towards the end of the 1700s. At that time the Revolution was raging in France and Basle Penet bought his first vineyard plots. Initially, he simply grew the grapes and delivered them to merchants with pressing equipment. Then, over the years, the winery started to process its own grapes grown, until the mid '900 when it made the big leap and entered the market with the brand of Champagne Jean-Marie Penet, great-grandson of the founder. Jean-Marie's daughter then married Jean-Paul Lepreux and their union gave birth to the current brand. Today at the helm of the small winery there are Virginie and her son-in-law François. Eight generations have passed, but still today everything is done manually in respect of tradition, with typical methods of Champagne production.
