    "Justina" Alto Adige DOC Gewrüztraminer
  • Imagine a special vineyard, with plants with an average age of around 30 years. Imagine that it is in an enchanted place, like the hill that surrounds the wine village of San Paolo, where an ancient church watches over the health of the grapes with grace and solemnity. Imagine all this and then uncork a bottle of Justina from Kellerei St. Pauls, pure Gewürztraminer. You will find that what you were imagining is not a dream, but pure reality. Vinification is slow, with temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks and subsequent maturation on its own yeasts. The result is a beautiful white with a vivid colour. A captivating bouquet of scents reminiscent of rose petals, lychee and ripe mango, with spicy notes of nutmeg. In the mouth it is fresh and lively, with a full and elegant body.

    In St. Pauls, it is clearly stated on the home page of their website, land preservation is not just a job but a real mission. But not only that. It also reads ''We share the joy of living. For generations, for generations' sake.” What else is there to say? When joie de vivre and respect for nature are placed at the centre of everything, good results are never lacking. Also Kellerei St. Pauls is an example of good South Tyrolean cooperation. Founded in 1907, it currently has about 200 members who work their vineyards with passion, often by hand, and bring their best grapes to the winery. In total, the vineyards that belong to St. Pauls are about 185 hectares, divided into the most suitable areas of the valley surrounding the village of San Paolo/Appiano. More than one and a half million bottles are produced each year, reaching the markets of the world from Alto Adige, to the delight of many wine lovers. The production is mainly made of white, dry and aromatic wines.
