1502 Da Vinci in Romagna "Portocanale di Cesenatico" Sangiovese Rosato Rubicone IGT 2022

The delicate hint of rose that characterises this wine could be inspired by the palette of the Florentine genius. Leonardo da Vinci, in 1502, spent six months of his life in Romagna. This line of wines is inspired by that period, produced from local vines and transformed according to the Leonardo Method. Like this Sangiovese Rubicone IGT rosé, produced with grapes from the area of Castrocaro Terme, Predappio and Bertinoro. Soft pressing to extract just enough colour, vinification continues in stainless steel with strict temperature control. Then, before meeting the bottle, this delicate rosé refines for about two months in contact with its fine lees. While the colour is a delicate pink, the nose reveals a marked floral note that evolves into hints of fresh fruit, particularly white peach and apricot as the seconds pass. In the mouth, however, it is pleasantly fresh and delicate, in perfect harmony with the olfactory sensations. Crisp and savoury, this rosé is perfect for enhancing delicate dishes such as seafood crudités.
