"Coll'Amato" Colli Maceratesi Rosso DOC 2022

Coll'Amato, Colli Maceratesi DOC, is an interesting red wine made from Sangiovese grapes (60%), with Cabernet and Merlot. Selected bunches in the company vineyards located in the Upper Esina Valley, between 350 and 650 metres above sea level. Here the conditions are ideal and the grapes reach full ripeness, healthy and rich in aromatic components. In order to fully exploit this rich natural heritage, Belisario adopts a special processing method. It begins with a phase of partial carbonic maceration that helps to extract colour and aromas, enhancing the starting fruit to the maximum. This is followed by the classic phase of maceration and, after racking, refinement in steel for about three months. The result is a wine that makes the fruity component and great pleasure its strong point. Bright ruby red, the nose is dominated by notes of ripe but still crunchy red fruit. In the mouth it reveals itself as a well-structured, savoury and smooth wine. A full-bodied red wine but at the same time very drinkable. It is the wine to be served with red meats, also grilled, but also with salami and medium-aged cheeses.
