We will never tire of reminding you how versatile Chardonnay is. A vine native to Burgundy that can adapt to a multitude of different climates and soils, giving rise to wines that, while recognizable and traceable to it, always have something unique about them. Something inimitable. Baron Longo's Kalkgestein, a pure Chardonnay from the Dolomites between Egna and Montagna, in the province of Bolzano, is no exception. Fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, this Chardonnay acquires richness and complexity thanks to an aging on the lees for about 6 months. In the glass it is a beautiful straw yellow colour, with intense aromas of exotic fruit. In the mouth, like all great Chardonnays, it is rich and opulent. Definitely creamy but still has a nice acidity that makes it tremendously easy to drink. Excellent as an aperitif, it can always be paired with fish dishes, even delicate ones.
