"Kleinstein" Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC 2022

Around the city of Bolzano, in the heart of South Tyrol, there are steep slopes that are ideal for the cultivation of vines, despite the fact that the work is very tiring. Here the rows of vines enjoy excellent sunshine and the wide temperature range between day and night that make the fruit particularly intense in aroma and rich in taste. Kleinstein is a Chardonnay that comes from these very hilly plots, about 500 metres above sea level. A rich wine that is aged for a few months on its fine lees and partly fermented in barriques. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful straw yellow colour with golden reflections. Exotic notes of pineapple, mango and melon on the nose, followed by hints of vanilla and banana. The taste is elegant and fresh, thanks to a well-balanced acidity and a pronounced minerality.
