Feurstein is a lovely pure Gewürtztraminer. One of the most beloved grape varieties of Alto Adige, in a version of great elegance and finesse, proposed here by Tenuta Baron Longo. The grapes come from vineyards located between Egna and Montagna. Harvesting is by hand and is preceded by fermentation and vinification in steel at a controlled temperature. Maturation on its own yeasts follows, in stainless steel, for a period of about 6 months. In the glass it has a beautiful deep straw yellow colour. The nose reveals a very intense bouquet with notes of white flowers and tropical fruits that blend with hints of vanilla and honey. In the mouth it is soft and harmonious, with good freshness and a distinct sapidity. It goes well with pleasantly spicy dishes but is also perfect to be served as an elegant aperitif.
