  • Sensations APPEARANCE: clear, ruby red with garnet reflections. NOSE: intense, complex, fine quality, at the beginning it is closed with reductive notes. Careful oxygenation opens up the aromatic bouquet, giving way to notes of red fruit in alcohol (cherries and plums). MOUTHFEEL: mature and harmonious, sapid, elegant but intense, the acid note accompanied by sweet tannins give the wine a perfect harmony and balance.
  • Vinification manual selection of the grapes before destemming followed by soft pressing, spontaneous fermentation and no addition of sulphites. Malolactic fermentation follows.

    "Natyr" Petit Verdot Terre Siciliane IGT 2018
  • "Sicilian personality meets French savoir-faire" - reads the website of the Azienda Baglio di Pianetto. And this Natyr, pure Petit Verdot, is a fine example. The first totally organic wine produced by the Sicilian company owned by the Marzotto family, this Natyr is the offspring of one of the varieties native to the Médoc area, in Bordeaux, and grown at the Baglio. Grapes that ripen late, in October, taking all the time neededcto enrich their aromas and fragrances, without sacrificing a strong natural acidity. In the cellar it undergoes fermentation in spontaneous maceration, with indigenous yeasts and without any addition of sulphites. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful impenetrable ruby red colour, with a remarkable aromatic complexity. Hints of jam are well integrated with those of fruit in alcohol and in particular cherries and plums. Then spices and roasted notes to make it more elegant and intriguing. An ideal companion for grilled meats, game and cured meats, it is also a perfect wine to serve with first courses dressed with meat sauces and vegetable soups.
