Murriali Monreale Doc - Baglio di Pianetto

Organic, from Insolia and Catarratto. What more, or different, to ask from a Sicilian white? A cut like that, you have to try it. You can't love Sicily and not get lost in the bright straw yellow of this wine. On the nose, it is mineral, with floral notes of orange blossom, lime and broom, followed by fresh fruit, green apple and peach. On the palate, however, it plays everything on the balance between its natural freshness and the warmth of alcohol. On the finish the fruity and savory notes perceived earlier return. The vinification is simple and at the same time accurate. Harvested by hand, carefully selected before destemming and cold pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel and, again in steel, a prolonged aging sur- lie. Simple but not obvious, it is the wine to put on the table if the fish is the protagonist.

There is a beautiful and elegant Sicily. A noble expression of the ancient art of cultivating the land and producing great wines. Baglio di Pianetto, with its more than twenty years of history, represents just this elegant and refined soul. Years that have allowed the company owned by the Marzotto family, with its estates in the countryside of Palermo and in the Val di Noto, to reach very interesting quality standards. In perennial and constant balance between tradition and innovation, Baglio di Pianetto gives life year after year to wines of great personality, all easily distinguishable by their unmistakable elegance. The values safeguarded by Baglio go from respecting the integrity of excellent raw materials to safeguarding and optimizing natural resources. It is no coincidence that a process of conversion to organic farming for the entire agricultural heritage has been underway for some time. An almost mandatory choice for a modern and global company that faces markets all over the world with courage and competence. In the winery, technology dominates, but it can only enhance the work started in the countryside. And generally, it does that very well.
