Fiano Puglia IGT 2021

Many people associate Fiano with wine growing in Campania. Even though, it must be said, this vine is now widely grown in Apulia as well. Indeed, Fiano has been present in Apulia since ancient times. It seems, in fact, that it was even Charles II of Anjou who introduced it at the end of the 13th century. Here, the Fiano grapes ripen between September and October, giving rise to wines characterised by refined and complex aromas, with a marked natural acidity. This is why Fiano-based wines are considered long-lived and structured white wines. This IGT Puglia proposed by Antica Enotria is no exception, an organic white wine made from pure Fiano grapes. Described as fine and energetic, this wine is characterised by its beautiful intense straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose recalls clear scents of yellow flowers, peach and candied orange. While in the mouth it is tasty, full and citrusy. Ideal with seafood and meat dishes, it should undoubtedly be tried with a delicate grilled sea bass or a mixed grill. For lovers of territorial combinations, this white wine is perfect with the typical Apulian salad of octopus and potatoes.
