Barbera d'Asti Superiore "La Malandrona" DOCG - Tenuta Tamburnin

Purplish red colour, rich but balanced, beautiful expression of Barbera from this area, where the nose is very clean and rich, particularly suited to forest fruit. The taste is full-bodied but snappy thanks to good acidity.

We are in the Basso Monferrato Astigiano area, in the hamlet of Bardell' di Castelnuovo Don Bosco. Here, more than 3 centuries ago, the Tamburnin Estate was built, named after the traditional drums that accompanied the advances of the Savoy army. A much sought-after location today for events and weddings, with the evocative backdrop of the avenue of acacia trees and the embrace of the vineyards that frame the estate. The scrupulous care of the nine hectares of vines, called Conca d'Oro, arranged in an amphitheatre around the Tamburnin Estate gives the high quality grapes used to produce this wine with an excellent structure, elegant and slightly spicy. The company's mission, under the aegis of sisters Elena, Valeria and Claudia Gaidano, is to produce high quality wines by enhancing the territory, with a careful eye to sustainability and future generations.
