A fresh CC with bright red berries and cherries and light leafy character on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and light tannin that provide a super-clean finish. Tight and bright. Drink now.
Cherry, plum, earth and tobacco aromas and flavors mark this fresh red. An element of tar emerges, but overall this is balanced and long. Drink now through 2025.
Tenuta Mocenni is located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga and is part of the Bindi Sergardi family's property. It is here that Chianti Classico DOCG La Ghirlanda is made, produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, fermented in steel and aged in oak barrels for no less than 12 months. The garland is the round-shaped woodland that surrounds the estate, giving a unique microclimate to the vineyards. In the glass it is a beautiful ruby red colour and the nose reveals typical fruity sensations of cherry and blackberry, combined with violet, balsamic herbs and underbrush. In the mouth it is full-bodied and pleasantly tannic. Along the finish it literally never seems to want to end.
Bindi Sergardi is a family-run business, with ancient origins that date back to 1349. Today the company is a modern reality divided into three distinct estates covering almost 100 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the province of Siena. Here, Chianti and Chianti Classico Docg wines are produced, but also extra virgin olive oil with a strong taste.
