The name of this Barbera, Piedmont DOC, recalls that of Emperor Otto I of Saxony, one of the protagonists of Aleramo's legend about the origin of the Monferrato territory. A red wine vinified in steel that expresses the typicality of the vine. In the glass it is characterised by a ruby red colour, full and brilliant. The nose stands out for its freshness, with hints of small ripe fruits. In the mouth it is soft and the distinct notes of red fruit enhance its pleasantness. An everyday wine, Ottone I is a Barbera suitable both during and outside meals, thanks to its softness and great pleasantness. Excellent with simple platters of cured meats and cheeses, first courses and red meat main courses.
The Sansilvestro winery is located in Novello, in the heart of the Langa del Barolo. A beautiful story, that of Giovanni Sartirano, who in 1871 began his activity in the world of wine.
