  • This Coda di Volpe, Campania IGP proposed by Famiglia Pagano, is a young and fresh white wine, produced from the vine of the same name in purity. Grapes from estate vineyards located in the province of Avellino. Coda di Volpe is an indigenous Campania grape variety, known for its resistance to drought and its ability to adapt to different types of soil. Coda di Volpe grapes are characterised by a good degree of acidity and a fruity and floral aromatic profile. The vineyards from which the grapes for this wine come are located in the province of Avellino, in a hilly area characterised by a temperate Mediterranean climate. The soil is volcanic, rich in minerals and well drained, ideal for growing Coda di Volpe grapes. In the glass, this Campania white has a beautiful, brilliant straw yellow colour. The nose reveals intense and persistent aromas of yellow fruit, such as yellow peach and melon, accompanied by floral notes of broom and hawthorn. In the mouth, however, the wine is fresh and sapid, with good acidity that makes it balanced and pleasant to drink. A versatile wine, it pairs well with a variety of dishes. It is perfect, for example, to accompany cured meats, vegetable soups, white meats and fresh cheeses.

    The Famiglia Pagano winery was founded in the mid-twentieth century in Boscoreale, on the slopes of Vesuvius, from the passion of Andrea. His tenacity and love for the land drove him to cultivate fine grapes in an area dominated at the time by the production of PDO tomatoes. Thirty years later, Andrea, supported by his wife Raffaella, transformed his passion into a full-fledged winemaking business. Once again a courageous and countercurrent choice that proves to be a winner. Today, the family tradition is carried on by the new generations, with Ludovica, a doctor in oenology, and Andrea Jr., the founder's grandson, who decide to transfer the business to Luogosano, in the province of Avellino, the beating heart of Taurasi production. 36 hectares of vineyards in Avellino, Benevento, Naples and Salerno, tended with care and dedication. In particular, biodiversity and the ecosystem are preserved through the use of sustainable cultivation techniques, which guarantee grapes of the highest quality. The winery, located in a privileged position among the vineyards, is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. Advanced winemaking technologies are harmoniously integrated with ancient production techniques, resulting in unique and refined wines.
