A warm and powerful red wine that fully expresses the tough but passionate character of a land, Puglia, which is particularly suited to the cultivation of vines. It is no coincidence that some of Italy's greatest reds are produced here. The grapes used to produce this Appassimento undergo, as the name suggests, an over-ripening process. They are left to ripen on the vine for a longer period of time in order to favour the concentration of aromas and sugars. The result is a smooth wine, with a nice alcohol content and notes of ripe, almost candied, red fruit, mingling with hints of spices and dried fruit.
