"Cucco", in the local dialect, is the top of the hill where the estate's oldest vineyard is located, within the Cerrati cru. Tenuta Cucco was established as a winery in the 1960s and enjoys a breathtaking view of the peaks of Monviso, with the vine-covered hills surrounding it and a glimpse of the Castle of Serralunga d'Alba which, with its unmistakable slender and narrow structure, is an icon of the Italian landscape. The vineyards insist on the oldest portion of the ancient land of Barolo and enjoy an ideal altitude that allows the tannins of Nebbiolo to be further emphasised. And to have guaranteed the best temperature range, fundamental for the ripening of the fruit.
