  • Sensations Bright yellow colour. Complex bouquet of acacia flowers, apricot, pineapple, candied orange peel. Rich, warm and complex palate, sweet but with a dry finish that invites another sip.
  • Vinification Harvesting takes place in the third week of September, with 20% of the grapes placed in boxes to dry. After a delicate pre-saturation, the monster ferments at 18° C in steel tanks for about 15 days.

    "Piani di Tufara" Moscato di Trani DOC 2020
  • Sweet Natural, this Pian di Tufara is an elegant Moscato di Trani DOC. It is made from Moscato Reale grapes, grown on the tufa soil of the area and partly left to dry on racks to concentrate the sugary and aromatic components. The wine is then carefully vinified and matured for 3 or 4 months in new French oak barriques, followed by at least another 6 months of refinement in vitrified cement tanks. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful bright yellow colour. The nose is surprising for its broad and persistent bouquet, with delicate notes that recall acacia flowers, apricot, pineapple and a hint of candied orange peel. In the mouth, however, it is decidedly rich, with a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness that makes it pleasantly drinkable. Never cloying, this passito should be served slightly chilled and goes well with dry pastries and delicate desserts. For a truly gourmet pairing, however, the advice is to marry it with foie gras or savoury cheeses.

Modern, espalier-trained vineyards are cultivated with the main native varieties of the area, such as Bombino Bianco, Bombino Nero, Nero di Troia, Fiano, Aglianico and Moscato Reale. But also international, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
