  • Vinification Fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature between 28 and 30 degrees for a period of 10 days, frequent pumping over and subsequent malolactic fermentation. Refinement: 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks of 25 hectolitres.

    This warm vintage presents a complete, round and succulent portrait of this traditional Piedmont-based grape. Barbera loves a warm growing season, and that's what it got here. The Barbera d'Alba Superiore Bricco Cichetta delivers thick layers of blackberry and red currant with rose and dried lavender at the back.

  • There is no region in Italy where the territory has been parcelled out with the same care. Piedmont is not only the land of Italy's great reds. It is also the region of the sub-zones, of the bricchi, of the Vigne, each with its own peculiarities. Each with its own unique characteristics. As in this case. Barbera d'Alba yes, but produced only with grapes from a single vineyard, located in Madonna di Como, at the top of a hill, with a 360 degree exposure. Bricco Cichetta is a vineyard more than 50 years old, whose roots lie in a soil rich in calcareous marl and clay that gives life to a wine characterized by a beautiful deep ruby red colour, almost impenetrable with intense purple reflections. A fresh wine, which presents an intensely fruity bouquet, with hints of ripe red fruit and spicy hints of liquorice and vanilla. The palate is warm and powerful, with notes of ripe cherry, berries and minerals. Long and persistent finish. Its natural pairing? It is the one with the great mixed boiled meats in the Piedmontese style or, more generally, the one with the great dishes of Italian cuisine.
