    • Sensations The colour is an intense garnet red. On the nose it releases a bouquet that benefits from aeration, with notes of light black fruit and hints of graphite or sharpened pencil. On the palate it shows a medium body, slightly bitter yet tense, with a rigorous character.
    • Vinification Harvesting is carried out both manually and mechanically, as are the subsequent selections. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks. Ageing lasts 12 months in barriques, 25% of which are new.

    • On the gravel soils of Haut-Médoc AOC, Château Sénéjac takes shape, a red that interprets the Left Bank with balance and substance. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot lead the blend, supported by Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc to provide structure and definition. Ripening is closely monitored to preserve freshness and fruit integrity. In the cellar, measured extraction and carefully calibrated ageing are applied. Oak supports the wine without overloading its profile. In the glass it reveals cassis, blackberry and subtle hints of graphite and spice. The entry is firm, the tannic texture compact yet orderly. The palate maintains rhythm and a linear progression.

      Château Sénéjac is a historic estate of the Haut-Médoc and is now part of the family group that also runs Calon-Ségur. The estate benefits from well-exposed vineyards on deep gravel soils. Vineyard management is rigorous, with yield control and careful parcel selection. In the cellar, technology and tradition work together to maintain consistent quality.
