Champagne Aubry is a family-run Maison that stands out in the diverse Champagne landscape for its strong identity. Its headquarters are in Jouy-lès-Reims, in the north of Champagne, in the so-called Petit Montagne de Reims, much appreciated by those who love Champagne with character. The company is run by Pierre and Philippe Aubry, two brothers who represent the latest generation of a family with roots in viticulture dating back to 1790. Pierre studied oenology and Philippe studied biology: a useful combination for harmonising tradition and innovation. The vineyards are spread over approximately 60 parcels covering an area of about 15 hectares, in renowned communes such as Jouy-lès-Reims, Pargny, Villedommage, Coulommes-la-Montagne and Pargny. Here, the microclimate, thanks to the surrounding hills and moderate altitude, helps to maintain freshness and balanced acidity in the grapes. The vineyards are meticulously tended, with a selection of individual plots and very low yields to obtain the highest quality. In the cellar, however, respect for tradition prevails, with lightly dosed wines and practices that reveal the terroir. Some cuvées are also fermented in wood. Furthermore, Aubry does not limit himself to using the most well-known grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. In fact, the brothers have also reintroduced ancient grape varieties that had almost disappeared, such as Arbanne, Petit Meslier and Fromenteau (Blanc Vrai), which give the wines unique nuances.
