Lafou Celler

The Lafou winery is located in Batea, in the DO, the equivalent of our DOC, Terra Alta. We are in the region of Catalonia, in the North-East of Spain, one of the most authentic wine-growing areas with a great history and immense potential. Characteristic of this area are the terraced vineyards on fertile, deep and not too permeable soils, where the vines are pruned very short to ensure that the grapes grow close to the ground, making the most of the soil's humidity. A total of 19 hectares, the varieties grown are Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carignan and small quantities of Morenillo, a recently rediscovered native variety.
