Cottanera

On the northern slopes of Etna, between 700 and 800 metres above sea level, lies Cottanera, a winery that well represents the passion and respect for the volcanic earth. A unique, difficult and at the same time generous territory that gives the grapes unmistakable characteristics. Cottanera is a family story, where the passion for wine is handed down from generation to generation. In the company's vineyards, both indigenous vines, such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante, and international ones, such as Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mondeuse, are grown. Each grape variety finds its ideal habitat in this terroir, expressing its characteristics to the full and producing wines of great complexity and elegance.
