Chevalier Prieuré

The Côte du Rhône is one of the oldest and most renowned wine-growing areas in France, a large area stretching along both banks of the Rhône River, as far as Avignon, through several French departments. The Côte du Rhône is famous for its production of red wines, characterised by a complex aromatic profile and great structure, with a considerable diversity of styles depending on the sub-areas. The predominant grapes used for the reds are Syrah and Grenache, although there are also other varieties such as Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault. Chevalier du Prieuré, a 'Propriétaires Récoltants' winery, is located here.
