Cantina Gries

Founded in 1908 by a group of winegrowers from Gries, just outside Bolzano, Cantina Gries was created with the aim of promoting the winemaking heritage of South Tyrol together. Long associated with Lagrein, the region’s flagship grape variety, the winery has gradually expanded its range to include the principal white and red varieties of the area. Its vineyards stretch across different sites around Bolzano, from the valley floor to the mountain slopes, offering ideal conditions for wines with a strong sense of identity. Careful vineyard management, meticulous grape selection and modern cellar techniques are combined with more than a century of experience. The result is authentic, characterful wines that elegantly express the diversity and vocation of South Tyrol.
