In the region of Montravel, in the picturesque village of Saint-Antoine-de-Breuilh, stands Château Moulin Caresse, a family-run winery with a centuries-old history. Since 1749, the same family has handed down the ownership of this estate, which proudly dominates the Dordogne valley, just 20 km east of Saint-Émilion, at the gateway to the Périgord. Covering an area of 42 hectares, the vineyards of Château Moulin Caresse extend over clay-limestone soils, ideal for the cultivation of the classic varieties of the Bergerac region: Sémillon, Sauvignon, Muscadelle, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The mild climate of the area, influenced by the proximity of the Dordogne river, guarantees optimal ripening of the grapes, allowing the production of highly drinkable wines with an excellent quality/price ratio. Annual production is around 350,000 bottles, a number that testifies to the family's commitment and passion for viticulture. The care and attention dedicated to each phase of the production process, from the vineyard to the cellar, is reflected in the quality of the wines, which best express the characteristics of the Montravel terroir. The privileged position of Château Moulin Caresse, between Bordeaux and Périgord, gives its wines a unique character, combining the elegance of Bordeaux wines with the richness and generosity of South-West wines.
