A great classic that never goes out of fashion. We could define this Masciarelli bottle in this way. It is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, produced uninterruptedly since 1981. Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, it is Masciarelli's daily wine par excellence. The company's best-selling product, in Italy and in over 50 countries. Carefully vinified in steel at a controlled temperature, this traditional Abruzzo red wine is a beautiful, intense and brilliant ruby colour. On the nose it amazes for the richness of its bouquet, where it is easy to distinguish a wide range of berries, dark cherries, blackberries, raspberries and fruits of the undergrowth. In the mouth, however, it is taut and finely tannic, all well balanced by a pleasant acidity. Medium to full-bodied, it has a long and pleasantly juicy finish. For those who want to savour all the fruit and joy of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, this bottle should not be missed.
Gianni Masciarelli, unforgettable symbol of Abruzzo founded his company in 1978. As in a beautiful fairytale, at the end of the 1980s, Gianni met Marina Cvetic with whom he became professionally and personally close. This fortunate relationship resulted in some of the region's most popular wines. Marina Cvetic, above all, but also Villa Gemma and Gianni Masciarelli. And then, more recently, the wines of Castello di Semivicoli. A small universe of quality that is now managed directly by Marina, Gianni's widow. 320 hectares, spread over 14 different municipalities in the provinces of Chieti, Teramo, Pescara and L'Aquila.
