Legend has it that the inspiration for the creation of this wine came suddenly one summer evening. It came from a particular bottle of Champagne. The idea, a bit crazy at the time, was to create a sparkling wine with no added sulphites. From idea to practical implementation, years of experimentation passed. But then, finally, the moment came to unveil Nature Marcalberto to everyone. A Piedmontese Blanc de Noirs, this was the first Italian Metodo Classico without added sulphites, produced in a serial manner. The Pinot Noir grapes used come from vineyards in the municipalities of Santo Stefano Belbo, Calosso, Cossano Belbo and Loazzolo. These are superbly suited areas, where the grapes reach perfect ripeness at the beginning of September. A decidedly dry sparkling wine, with less than 3 grams of sugar per litre, this Nature boasts a fine, persistent perlage and an intense straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The nose is very expressive, with hints of toast on a citrus background. In the mouth, however, it is complex and vibrant. The freshness and persistence are simply extraordinary, making this wine an ideal companion for important lunches and dinners. Try it with a tasty risotto Milanese style, if you don't want to go classic and pair it with a refined seafood carpaccio.

Since its inception, Marcalberto's wine production has focused on the production of Classic Method sparkling wines. We are in Piedmont, in the heart of the Alta Langa, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the grape varieties used. All the grapes come from medium and high hillside vineyards. In the winery, the so-called Marcalberto Method is applied, which is inspired by the French style. Complexity and freshness are their main characteristics, as well as being the first Italian Metodo Classico producers to process wines without added sulphites in a serial way, helping to add authenticity and crystalline energy to bubbles of undeniable quality.
