Let's start with the curious name. EWA stands for E-lena WA-lch. A light and very fresh cuvée, this wine impresses everyone with its elegant structure and unexpected finish. It is made from a successful combination of 60% Gewürztraminer, with Müller Thurgau and Chardonnay to back it up. The three grape varieties are vinified separately and blended only when the following spring arrives. The wine then matures for several months on its lees in stainless steel containers. Cuvée EWA has an intense straw yellow colour in the glass, with very fine aromas. In the mouth, it is characterised by its fine vivacity and clear aromatic expression. Ideal as an aperitif, it is a perfect wine for pairing with full-bodied, lightly spiced first courses, but also with white meats and Asian dishes.
