Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Arcaplà 2018 - Costa di Bussia

Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Arcaplà is 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the company's vineyards in Costa di Bussia. Here different types of soil coexist within a few metres of each other and manage to create, within the same sub-zone, extremely different productions. The vineyard of Tenuta Arnulfo enjoys a beautiful southern exposure that allows the Nebbiolo grapes to reach perfect ripeness, enjoying a mild climate, right up to the moment of harvest. Vinification is accurate and traditional, with strict temperature control to ensure a high level of quality. Then, after racking, the wine rests in small French oak barrels until it reaches the right maturity. This reveals a wine characterised by a beautiful, intense and delicate ruby red colour. Particularly pleasing on the nose is the lovely note of vanilla and spices which accompanies the recognition of fresh fruit, such as currants and small berries. In the mouth, the sweet, velvety tannins are striking, leaving a silky smooth sensation on the finish. A super enjoyable wine and easy to pair, it can satisfactorily accompany simple baked pasta dishes, but also roasts and grilled meats.

We are in one of the most fascinating corners of the Langa. We are on the famous Bussia hill, surrounded by vineyards that characterize a landscape declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here, between Barolo and Monforte d'Alba, that the Coste di Bussia winery, Tenuta Arnulfo, has been located for over 150 years. The winery, founded in 1874 by Luigi Arnulfo, considered the Pioneer of Barolo for his innovative enterprises in the local wine world and in the international wine market, can today count on 11 hectares of vineyards. It produces the typical wines of the area, made strictly from grapes harvested in its own vineyards.
