  • Sensations The colour is very dark, almost black to the eye, heralding a fine concentration. Juicy black fruits (ripe and black-covered) mingle with purple and black pepper, with sweet, ripe tannins for a sweet and opulent finish without forgetting a nice acidity that balances everything.
  • Vinification To this end, the harvest begins in early March until the first week of April, from the traditional Luján de Cuyo to the heights of the Uco Valley, through soils ranging from clay to limestone, we seek the freshness and purity of a vibrant Malbec. We vinify the destemmed grapes and a whole percentage, without the addition of foreign elements, at temperatures between 24º and 26ºC for several weeks. Ageing continues in small concrete vats and a portion in used French oak barrels until the next harvest.

  • Hey Malbec! by Bodega Matias Riccitelli is a wine of remarkable character and authenticity that originates in the prestigious Luján de Cuyo wine region of Argentina. This area, known for its excellent Malbec production, offers diverse soils ranging from clay to limestone, resulting in vibrant and fresh wines. The harvest here runs from early March to the first week of April and is done manually. Vinification involves the use of partly destemmed and partly whole clusters. Fermentation is slow and spontaneous and continues with a maturation phase of several months in small cement vats and partly in used French oak barrels. In the glass Hey Malbec! presents itself with a very dark, almost black color that heralds considerable concentration. On the nose, it offers juicy ripe black fruits, with hints of pepper. In the mouth, the tannins are sweet and ripe, giving the wine an opulent and sweet finish, balanced by pleasant acidity. Excellent with savory dishes such as lamb or grilled beef, it is a wine that best expresses the richness and complexity of its terroir.

    Riccitelli Wines is a young and colorful winery founded in 2009 by Matias Riccitelli, an Argentine winemaker who gained experience working at some of the most prestigious wineries in the country and around the world. The winery is located in Las Compuertas, the highest area of Lujan de Cuyo, 1100 meters above sea level. Here, on 20 hectares of uncultivated vineyards, grapes are harvested from old vines. Riccitelli Wines, however, also works with small producers who own plots at different altitudes, between 1,000 and 1,700 meters above sea level, in Gualtallary, Chacayes, Vistalba, Las Compuertas and La Carrera. Riccitelli Wines' goal is to enhance the expression of terroir, striving for vibrant wines that express the great diversity of Argentine soils. Then, in 2015, the winery began a new project to enhance the old vineyards of Argentine Patagonia, planted in the late 1960s in the upper Rio Negro valley.
