A Spanish white grape variety grown mainly in the Alicante, Jumilla and Valencia regions, Merseguera is the absolute star of this beautiful label offered by Bodega Arráez. The grapes grow well on the poor, sandy, calcareous soils characteristic of Alicante's interior, reaching full maturity and then being harvested by hand. Arriving at the winery, vinification is careful but essential, with fermentation and aging in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful, clear, bright straw yellow color. The nose is pleasantly fresh, with a subtle aromaticity that is distinctly reminiscent of white-fleshed fruits and sweet spices. In the mouth it is broad, with a wide variety of nuances. Full-bodied, the palate reveals a pleasantly unctuous texture that fills the mouth and gives satisfaction with every sip. The winery owns 30 hectares of vineyards of mainly local varieties. 40-year-old vines still bush-trained and new modern plantings made with contemporary techniques.
