"Costamolino" Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 2021 - Argiolas

Vermentino di Sardegna DOC. This is enough to imagine that Costamolino is a delicious white wine, perfect for more than one occasion. Argiolas produces it from grapes harvested in the Vigne Vecchie Estate, 40 enchanting hectares in the hills near the town of Selegas. An area particularly suited to the cultivation of vines, here the good altitude and soil characteristics allow the Vermentino grapes to reach perfect ripeness and produce wines of particular value. Vinified and aged in neutral containers with strict temperature control, Costamolino appears in the glass with a beautiful straw-yellow colour with slightly greenish reflections. The nose is intense and delicate at the same time, with a lovely fruity character and a delicate hint of bread crust. In the mouth it is fresh but also dry and well-dried. Pleasantly sapid, it has a pleasant and delicate finish. Perfect with seafood hors d'oeuvres, for lovers of typical local combinations, Costamolino can be paired with the classic fregola with shellfish.

Serdiana, in the countryside of Sibiola, Sisini, Sa Tanca, Vigne Vecchie and Is Solinas. These are the five estates, covering a total of over 200 hectares, that the Argiolas family owns in southern Sardinia. These estates have been carefully chosen for their soil, exposure, climate and altitude. Each estate is different, as are the grapes that grow there and the wines that are created. The history of the Argiolas winery began in the late 1930s, when Antonio set up his new agricultural enterprise. Thanks to his commitment, for decades, the winery grew and established itself in Sardinia and beyond. This has also been the case with the arrival of his children and, today, his grandchildren. The third generation of the family. Preserving and keeping intact the wonderful Sardinian nature is an important responsibility. A daily commitment that guides the actions of the Argiolas family, every day, in every decision.
